Cancer regeneration: polyploid cells are the key drivers of tumor progression

Our recent review article entitled " Cancer regeneration: polyploid cells are the key drivers of tumor progression" is know publicly available at BBA Reviews on Cancer Journal.
In this article we suggest that polyploidy as an evolutionary conserved mechanism shares similar functions both in regeneration and tumor progression, one as a friend and the other as a foe! Considering therapeutic approaches killing polyploid giant cancer cells is urgent for overcoming cancer relapse.
